Scream: Resurrection is a new six-part American slasher horror TV series - a reboot/revamp of the MTV Scream series - due to be shown on VH1 from Monday, July 8, 2019.
The plot focuses on Deion Elliot (played by RJ Cyler), a local star football running back, whose tragic past comes back to haunt him and threaten his committed plans for the future … and impact on the lives of his unlikely group of friends.
The cast also includes Mary J. Blige, Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Tyga, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, C.J. Wallace and Giullian Yao Gioiello, and Paris Jackson.
Plus, the actual Ghostface mask, which MTV’s Scream were contractually unable to use will be featured. Furthermore, Roger Jackson, who voiced the killer in the Scream feature film franchise, will reprise his role for the VH1 spin-off.
