The Monsters Chess Set featuring Universal Studios monsters was a limited edition chess set issued in 1999 by a company named Spencer.

The King and Queens of both pieces are 3″ tall. The chess board set weighs over 10 lbs. and the box measures 14 1/2″ x 14 1/2″.

The set consists of the following playing pieces:

(1) Frankenstein - King, Bride of Frankenstein - Queen, Dracula - Bishop, Creature From the Black Lagoon - Knight, Frankenstein’s Laboratory - Rook and eight Tombstones - Pawns

(2) The Mummy - King, Anch Su Namun - Queen, The Phantom of the Opera - Bishop, The Wolfman - Knight, Pyramid - Rook and eight Canopic Jars - Pawns
