Event Horizon is a 1997 science fiction horror feature film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson from a screenplay written by Philip Eisner (with an uncredited rewrite by Andrew Kevin Walker).
The movie stars Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neill (Possession, The Final Conflict, In the Mouth of Madness).
Despite being #1 at the box office in the UK, it was a box office flop, only recouping $26.6 million of its estimated $60 million budget. The movie went on to find a second life on VHS, DVD and TV, and has since become a cult film.
