Joseph Bishara’s soundtrack score by for 2019 horror feature film The Prodigy has been released on vinyl by Waxwork Records. The busy composer’s previous soundtrack scores include Dead Night; Insidious and sequels; Annabelle; The Conjuring; Night of the Demons 2009 and many others.
The company worked with Bishara and Orion Pictures (Child’s Play, 2019) to create a deluxe vinyl release of the soundtrack featuring UV reactive 180 gram “Blue Iris” coloured vinyl that changes colour, new art by Adam Rabalais, a printed insert and a retro style tip-on gatefold sleeve.
“The haunting soundtrack by Joseph Bishara is an expert composition of dark orchestral scoring focusing on heavy string arrangements, clarinet, and horns reminiscent of classic 1970’s horror soundtracks. The orchestration is blended with emotive electronic soundscapes. Bishara’s tense strings, coupled with droning electronic rhythms and piano, sets the dark tone and effectively captures impending doom and tragedy.”
Meanwhile, Sony Classical has released The Prodigy soundtrack score on CD.
