Amityville: Evil Never Dies – USA, 2017

‘The legacy continues…’

Amityville: Evil Never Dies is a 2017 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Dustin Ferguson (The Amityville LegacyCamp Blood 4 and 5; Meathook Massacre; Demon Dolls; et al). The movie stars Mark Patton, Helene Udy, Dawna Lee Heising and Ben Gothier.

Married couple Ben (Ben Gothier) and Michelle (Michelle Muir-Lewis) have a nice home and he’s got a good job to provide for them. However, Ben insists on buying a toy monkey from a toy store much to Michelle’s chagrin as she says it’s “creepy”.

With the toy monkey placed prominently in their living room, Michelle soon begins to hear strange noises in the attic…

Amityville: Evil Never Dies is above all a fun throwback to the horrors of yesteryear, with its easy-to-follow story, its blunt yet effective shocks, its minimalistic yet creepy musical score, and its straight-forward direction – but all that said doesn’t mean this movie is an artless hack job…” Mike Haberfelner, Search My Trash

” …despite some technical issues and lack of budget, mostly succeeds at delivering a solid film. If you are a fan of “so bad it’s good” cinema or films that have more heart than budget, you could do far worse. Amityville: Evil Never Dies is a fun take on Amityville lore.” Pop Horror
