The School – Australia, 2018

‘Face your fears… or they’ll come to life.’

The School is a 2018 Australian supernatural horror feature film written and directed by Storm Ashwood, making his feature debut. It stars Nicholas Hope, Megan Drury and Texas Watterston.

When a doctor looking for her missing child awakens to find herself in an abandoned school, she must survive the supernatural terror and face her own demons if she is to find the truth about where her son is…

Reviews:

“For a first time-director, Ashwood never seems restricted by budget limitations. He’s created a magnificent, intentionally disorientating, convincingly creepy world out of a run down, 170 year old mental hospital. It’s inspiring stuff for any wannabe filmmaker. The film’s violence can be a tough watch…” Matthew Eales, Cinema Australia

The School premiered in Australia on 27 July 2018 at the Monster Fest Travelling Sideshow in Adelaide.

In the UK, 4DigitalMedia is releasing The School on DVD on 23 September 2019.

  1. I’m glad to see my homeland Australia coming out with some quality horror movies like this one.
After a few back-pack murders and roadkills, here is something fresh to bè scared by.
