The Mist – TV series (USA, 2017)

‘Fear. Human. Nature.’

The Mist is a 2017 American television series based on Stephen King’s novella about a town mysteriously covered in a dense mist.

The first episode is directed by Adam Bernstein. It stars Alyssa Sutherland, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Bill Carr.

The series was developed by Christian Torpe and adds an entirely new set of characters. Torpe has explained: “I wanted to be respectful to the source material, but my feeling was there was already a great adaptation out there by Frank Darabont. The novella is 200 pages and one location, and we needed to change that to make an ongoing series. But we wanted to remain faithful to the heart of the story.”

The first season of the Spike series will debut on June 22, 2017.
