Reviews:

Chopping Block affectionately references films such as Carrie, You’re Next, and Evil Dead 2 through dialogue and situations but doesn’t rely on the post-modern catechism of films like Scream. The humor comes in the form of homoerotic double entendres, dick and butt sex jokes, whore affirmations, and drug induced logic.” Shaun Huhn, HorrorMovies.ca

“The film starts out with the comedy in the lead with several funny moments and then the film mixes it up at the end and delivers on the horror and bloodshed. Most films have a hard time combining the two elements but this film just split the two up into halves … The kills are generic horror film kills but the practical effects are great.” Blacktooth, Horror Society

“It would have been nice for there to be a little bit more backstory and development, not only for the main characters but for the daughter and the killer as well. The third act is a bit bare and could have used a bit more, dare I say, torn and bloodied meat on the bone, especially since it is a HORROR comedy.” Tom Love, UK Horror Scene

“A bunch of laughs, more than a few groans, a couple of buckets of blood, and some horror nerd in jokes, combine to make Chopping Block one of the most inspired indie films this year.” Scream King Tom, Nerd Remix
