Reviews:

Zoombies is a fresh twist on the zombie genre, instead of it being the humans getting infected it is the animals that become zombie like. We do get the standard survival side of the story with typical characters in the story. This is one of those film you need to go in knowing it won’t be serious and is one that will be enjoyed it you do.” Movie Reviews 101

“There are a small handful of inspired moments throughout, including an homage to the chest-burster scare from Alien and a scene wherein a young girl’s stuffed animal literally comes to life, but Zoombies is seldom as fun to watch as it should be.” John Squires, ConTV.com

“There’s an awkward charm to Zoombies. Obviously a modern piece, it still has something of a vintage feel to it. While a few performers come across as relaxed and seasoned in their craft, plenty of other participants are as wooden as Old Chief Wood’nhead. There are even a few digitally enhanced moments that looked solid, and the gore we get, practical or not, isn’t bad.” Matt Molgaard, Addicted to Horror Movies

“Some might argue that all these things don’t matter because it’s the “so bad it’s good” factor that makes people like The Asylum. Even in this department Zoombies is a disappointing film. Sure, it is bad, but it never comes close to this fun-to-watch kind of bad.” Kuba Grzeca, HorrorNews.net

Choice dialogue:

Doctor Gordon: “I don’t give a damn about protocol! This animal must live.”

Rex: “This isn’t about the monkeys Ellen. Something crazy is affecting this whole zoo!”
