XX (2016) [updated with trailer and VOD news]


Four deadly tales by four killer women’

XX is a 2016 American horror anthology film produced by XYZ Films (Tusk) with four female directors: Karyn Kusama (The InvitationJennifer’s Body), Jennifer Chambers Lynch (HissSurveillance), Jovanka Vuckovic and Annie Clark (St. Vincent). Dwjuan Fox is supervising producer.

Each of the directors was given free creative rein for their segments. The film will have its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival at Midnight on January 22, 2017 at the Library Centre Theater before it makes VOD debut on February 17th.


Main cast:

Natalie Brown, Mike Doyle, Christina Kirk, Kyle Allen, Peyton Kennedy, Peter DaCunha, Ron Lea, Jonathan Watton, Lisa Renee Pitts, and Morgan Peter Brown.


Magnet Releasing financed the movie and has the worldwide rights. President Eamonn Bowles stated:

“Magnet has been the home to the most exciting anthology horror films of the last several years, and we’re very pleased to continue the trend with XX. We’re especially excited about the caliber of filmmakers involved with this anthology, and the fresh approach that it’s taking to the horror genre.”


Meanwhile, Todd Brown from XYZ commented:
