Reviews:

“Considering all the potential for sinister business clouded by deceptive characters, Jessabelle is surprisingly uneventful, stumbling to an unsatisfying ending that teases complexity and twists, but mostly triggers unenthused shrugs.” Brian Orndorf, Blu-ray.com

“The characters aren’t so much characters, but pieces that simply exist to fill in the spaces when called upon. Every element exists in a strict vacuum from the characters, to the plot, to the setting. Once you’ve seen it, what’s there left to take in?” Brandon C. Sites

“Undemanding at only 83 minutes, Jessabelle is a good old-fashioned alone-in-the-dark ghost story highlighted by talented performers, rich cinematography, and a screenplay built on clever surprises and tautly delivered chills.” Ian Sedensky, Culture Crypt
