Reviews:

‘if you’ve been a fan of the series since the beginning then I have no problem saying that this is one of the best Paranormal Activity films yet. The scares are a bit formulaic and not as creative as previous entries, but the overall package has reignited my love for a series that I was ready to write off after the fourth installment.’ Horror-Movies.ca

‘This is the Paranormal Activity movie you have been waiting for. It makes up for the lame fourth entry in every conceivable way. It’s nothing short of an absolute gift to the passionate fans of this storied franchise. The Marked Ones proves without a shadow of a doubt that Paranormal Activity is back in top form… with a wicked and evil vengeance.’ Dread Central

‘The Marked Ones is a solid entry in the Paranormal Activity phenomenon. I’m more forgiving of than most so it’s about equal, but maybe the different angle would make it even better if you hated 4. It’s got good scares, a decent story, and more action than the first film.’ Crave Online

‘Fun, scary and remarkably cinematic within the found footage conceit, The Marked Ones might be the first Paranormal Activity movie that feels like an event film while you’re watching it. Not only does it make up for the abject disappointment of PA4, it manages to tie into the mythology of the series in a way that will invigorate anyone who has ever been a fan.’ Bloody Disgusting

‘It all leads to the aforementioned, totally out-there concept of an ending, which while surprising and silly, does leave the feeling this series is running in circles. We’re left with two familiar locales, a familiar threat and that serial-like cut to black just when something really interesting happens. So how much longer can this series keep this all up? The Marked Ones may have fresh blood, but it runs out fairly quickly.’ Fangoria
