Aberration (2013)

Aberration is a 2013 American horror film directed by Douglas Elford-Argent (Reality Horror Star) from a screenplay by his wife Gwendolyn Garver (AfterThought) who also stars. Other cast members include Kristian Capalik, Cal Thomas, Bobbi Jean Basche and James Symington. The film was released by Image Entertainment on DVD and VOD on September 17, 2013.

On the outside, Christy Dawson (Garver)  is just a normal high school student, but she hides a chilling secret. Caught between the worlds of the living and the dead, she has been plagued by horrific, terrifying visions. With the appearance of a ghostly young boy, these horrific glimpses of evil begin bleeding into her reality. Someone or something is killing everyone around her, and her only hope of survival is to uncover the truth behind a mystery that has shrouded the entire town in terror…

“This is a movie that seems to try to work every Japanese ghost trick into the book all the while trying to make things interesting by keeping you guessing until the very end. I just don’t think I’d say that we have a strong enough story or the right cast to really keep you wanting to stick around to find out what is going to happen.” HorrorBid.com

“What is presented here gives the misconception that you will be swarmed with abomination and dread, waiting for an endless slaughter of innocents by an unexplainable force of evil… nope. However, what we are left with is a surprisingly refreshing take on a murder mystery that will have the casual horror fan guessing up until the final acts.” KillerReviews.com
