Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever is a 2009 American horror film about a high school prom that descends into sheer panic when a deadly flesh-eating virus spreads via a popular brand of bottled water. The film was directed by Ti West and stars Giuseppe Andrews and Noah Segan.
A very disfigured Paul (Rider Strong) escapes from the creek and wanders through the woods, leaving pieces of his own flesh in the way. When he finally makes it to the highway, his body explodes when he is hit by a school bus. His remains are checked by Deputy Winston Olsen (Giuseppe Andrews), the local policeman from the previous film. Winston assures the shocked bus driver that he had hit a moose. The creek Paul was lying in was connected to a bottled-water company and the infected water was distributed to the local high school.
” …Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever shows us what happens when 16 producers turn on director-for-hire Ti West and hack his cut into an indecipherable final version. As a result, this sequel doesn’t even belong to the same species as its predecessor. In fact, it’s a blessing in disguise that the producers don’t even acknowledge that this sequel is based upon characters created by Roth and Pearlstein’. Pajiba.com
‘What should be the film’s centerpiece sequence – a prom full of students who all begin to projectile vomit blood on one another before be being mowed down by black-ops soldiers – occurs almost wholly off screen. We see a few poorly framed shots of the mayhem and then the aftermath, but none of the meat shots. Given how lowbrow the whole film is, this scene could have been something of legend, instead, it looks like an undergrad at film student’s first attempt at a gorno’. Collider.com
